My Poor Baby.

My dog, sadie had to go to the vets today for the day to have some crap taken out her ear that was building up.

they had to sedate her and even after apparently having the lowest dose possible shes completely gone and its 9 hours later.

had to hold her head up in the vet and then her legs fell over


been giving her water via an ice cube and she kinda throws her tounge at it and then reels it back in draggin it against the ice cube.

anyone else had this? jus didnt think she would be so bad on such a low dose.

poor thing, i havnt got any advice sorry but just wanted to say that my mums shi-tzu had to have the maximum dose of sedative before he was calm enough for the vet to lance a cyst or something, quietest hes ever been and men could even stroke him (he hates men)

must really affect some dogs differently. i mean i kno it would but a shi-tzu isnt a big dog is it?

sadie medium sized and shes in la la land.

was gonna bring her on my bed but after pickin her up and gettin a wet arm, she went back on the bug cushion...


shed normally kno that was really really wrong too but she doesnt even blink now.

No my mums dog is def a small ankle biter, just keep a close eye on her and keep her quiet and im sure she will come round soon. she will probably be hyper tomorow after the best nights sleep of her life

well ive set her up for a good nights sleep. hot water bottle included.

ill check her in the night but hopefully shell be awake by the morning. shes still got a good shibe to her eyes which i think is a gud thing

She looks like an older dog so that may be why she's taking longer to recover I wouldn't worry too much as all dogs react differently and after a gud nites sleep she should be back to normal if not I'd get a vets opinion just incase goodluck she's gorgeous
My boy he got doped up at the vets and after a good nite sleep was fine.

Hope Sadie is feeling better now..... I think sometimes different dogs react in different ways when they're sedated. When my dobermann went in to be castrated They gave him quite a big dose and afterward they told me that when they tried to clip his nails while he was under sedation, he was still flinching!!!
I think he needed more of a horse-size sedative!LOL He's a big boy so I guess thats why???

she goes bak on friday for a check up and i want them to check her hearing cos she seems a little deaf


seems a bit intermitent but she definately doesnt hear sometimes.



oh and yea she is getting on. 11 in august.

glad she's on the mend

had my babies in the vet today, jabs and get the kitten chipped, they couldn't do it though, the needles massive and she's teeny, she was screaming her head off, poor thing. Ian was waiting with the other cat in reception and he could hear her through 2 doors

getting it done in a few weeks when she's bigger
