ok my plecos died about a week ago and i dont know if it had some sort of disease but all my other fish died in the tank when he died. he was covered with slimey white stuff and was just laying at the bottom of the tank. when i woke up that morning 3 of my zebra danios and 1 of my platys died too. my other platy and my two other zebra danios were living untill the the end of the day. the wierd thing is that when all my fish died, they all had the white slimy stuff on them. is this some sort of disease?

Hard to tell without a pic. But what size tank were they in, did you test your water stats, what were the other fish, etc...

It's a good chance that it was a fungus, but can't say for sure, as Christine said. But an all over fungus doesn't usually happen over night.

It could also be columnaris. It can be fast.

The slime could be the slime coat of the fish sloughing off mixed with the fungus or columnaris.

i dont know about the water cause i didnt save any. i cleaned out the tank for my three remaining fish before i could see. i just wanted to know if there was any disease that killed them but thanks

I don't know what might have killed them there is just not enough information to even have a guess but when fish die they can get a slimey layer on them which I believe is a fungus but is not the cause of the death just a result of a dead body in the tank. There are many fungus and bacteria living harmlessly in tanks that come out and go crazy over a dead body.
