Before i got my current plec i always had these 4 inch grey striped ones and they were always out in the day an duserally pretty calm as long as the net wasn't in the cage. but this one guy, he only is active at night and i even keep the light off for him during the day so he'll be out and about but still he sleeps. he also has the habit of rearrangeing my tank in the middle of the night, i can hear him moving the grave. strong littel guy for only being 3 inches long. a bulldozer with fins. are all plecos like this or is mine just a partier

most plecs are nocturnal by nature. so its actually normal for him to get moving about the time everything else slows down. I usually drop an algae wafer in the tank everyother night and its gone by the morning .

really? i drop in 3 and their gone hes just a liitle guy i dont c how he can eat taht much..

I try not to "overfeed" him with specialty food, he does a nifty job of handling algae that way
