my pleco jumped out

my bristlenose about 3 inches long jumped out of my tank last night...i found him on the floor thinking he was dead and picked him up - he was still trying to breath but he is kinda dried up. I put him in a hopsital tank and he is breathing but not very able to move. I put in Stress Coat with him and have been moving him around so he can get water to his gills. Does he have any chance of surviving? what else can i do for him?

Yes i don't know what it is but i have heard slot of these stories of fish being out for 6 hours or so and being just fine ........... have u ever watched a pec. ?? is he is skittish u ay have to hide but he will do laps to the top of the tank and back down its really cool he may have missed the beakes this time ??? lol but fish jumping seems common maybe you shoudl get a top !!!!!

i have a cover, he must'ved jumped out by the filter. any more experiences/advice would be great.

well i covered the hospital tank with a towel and was checking in every 5 minutes and he was looking good for awhile. and now he just died i've only had him for about a week but it's so sad
