Hey I need some help I have 3 platies in my 20 gallon tank (tank is fine temp 78F, amm 0.00 nitrite is 0.00 Nitrate is 20 ph is 7.2) However most of the time they just seem to be sitting on the bottom hiding, with clamped fins. I do not se any signs of ICK which s what I thought it might be first, everybody does come out at feeding times then they swim around a bit then go back to sitting on the bottom. I do not see them gill pumping or breathing heavy either. Just that they have clamped fins. Someone at the pet store said it was a bacteria infection causing the fin clamping and suggested I try this medication. I bought the stuff since it was only a few dollars, its called fungus clear by Jungle it is used to clear up fungus and bacteria infections contains nitrofurazone, furazolidone, potassium dichromate. but before I used it I wanted to get some sugestions from the group thanks

Have you increased aeration in the tank with the med.

hmm, I dunno. Platys are normally pretty active. Does the tank have any decorations in it? It could just be that they don't feel safe, and if that is the case having some kind of decorations to swim around and hide behind might help them be more active than with a bare tank. If the tank is in a high traffic area and the fish are not used to this, it could contribute to them not feeling comfortable if your tank has no landscaping to hide behind.
