hey, i figured that as i had posted pics of my tank, i should post pics of the other animals in my life, including those who have already passed on.
the first pet that i remember is Kona, an American Eskimo dog
she was rescued from a backyard breeder who was going to breed her after getting her back from an abusive owner... she still doesn't like strangers.
She is now a still-hyper 15 year-old, and will be greatly missed when she goes.
about a year after getting Kona, we got this kitten who was the malnourished runt of her litter
she grew to become the most vocal cat i've ever met! she had tons of personality, and loved everyone.
sadly, she contracted the cryptococcus fungus at the age of ~7 and had to be put down... the first pet i ever lost.
next is my boy Dudley.
he was also a rescue. he was born feral and was captured when my sister's workplace did a cat-trapping campaign (spay/neuter & release wild adults, find homes for kittens/tame cats)
he was a special little boy,
and greatly enjoyed my first fish tank
thankfully, he never thought to jump on top!!!
he also needed to be put down at about age 7, as he had severe kidney problems that were making him miserable, and were untreatable.
the last pet you'll meet is my girl Kelsey
she's a Husky/greyhound/German shepherd mix from our local S.P.C.A. she's a great girl, although she's a little obsessed with small furry things.
she's now a healthy 8 years old, and still likes the word "cat"
I hope you enjoyed the pictures!!
