Ive decided to knock a wall through. My gf is not impressed.. but my reef comes 1st. I just have 48x24x18 and want to change over. But dunno if I should leave the smaller tank for the reef. and have the 6ft for fish only..

any ideas on what anybody else would do??

I would definitely do reef. It sounds like you want a real showpiece and there's just nothing that complements the fish like all the rock and corals and inverts in a full reef tank...

Gonna take me a while to get this baby going. But im sure it`ll be well worth it. Monday i`ll be buy some hardware.
Im thinking of using a 4x3x3ft tank as a sump.. i dunno if this is a good idea. just gotta think of where i can hide it without it looking ugly..

Thats a real big sump! if you can house it then you will have loads of space for filtration.

you do realize that A 4x3x3ft tank is 269Gal. I would buy that tank and make it my main tank and have your 90 gal. for a sump. Even then that seems like a big sump.

That sump is larger in volume than my 7ft 220 gallon setup :hyper: Over 1 ton in weight. i would rethink the sump volume unless you really are inteneding heavy stocking levels and require the extra volume for filtration.

keep your 90g and use it as the sump, should work good and give you plenty of room.

the 90 = 48x18x24
