My New Puppy Harvey - 7wks Old

Here is the lastest addition to my family, this is Harvey a boxer puppy. He is wonderful i just want to squeeze him

Millie loves him to bits she is only 8 mths old so is still a puppy herself

Wow, congrats. He is amazing. I didn't think you could boxer as beautiful as your Millie. They looks so gorgeous together. Can't belive she is only 6 months older. What a size difference. Are you going to breed them? I just love his big puppy paws.

No as they are white boxers and white boxer should never be bred from

Sorry, don't know much about breeding dogs, but why can't they be bred together?

i believe white boxers don't comply with the breed standard and thus should not be bred as pedigree dogs.

It's more to do with the fact that white boxers carry the deafness gene and by breeding white boxer you are potentially adding to the already growing number of deaf puppies, harvey was from a red x brindle breeding but he and 2 others came out white, luckily harvey can hear but the others were deaf. The 2 deaf puppies are now in white boxer rescue where any potential owners are taught hand signals etc and have constant help with raising a deaf boxer.

Shame, poor little things. I know white cats are normally deaf, having only ever seen 2 that weren't, didn't know it was a dog thing too. Has Millie got any problems? Gorgeous dogs, . no we were lucky with millie aswell but she was still trained using hand signals just in case and we will do the same with harvey. if i get them both to sit still long enough to get a pic i will change my avatar
