Yesterday i bought 7 lovely little lemon BN's from Dave (drewry). they are great little characters and seem very healthy. :good: they've had cucumber and peas up to now, along with algae wafers of course. they don't seem too keen on the cucumber though, so i'll see if the courgette plants bear any fruit... i mean vegetables. i didn't buy them for algae. but the algae is rapidly disappearing from my big piece of bogwood. these are already becoming one of my favourite fish, here are some pics:
sorry for the rubbish pic quality, i took some better pics, but photobucket won't upload them. :( oh, and they look like they have red eyes in the pics, but that's just the camera. they are lemon BN's not albino.

I also gave the 10 kribs to my local MA, as they were bullying the corys, and i definitely wasn't going to risk the BN's. when i went i took back some manado, as i'm getting a better substrate, and they wouldn't even give me a refund, they just gave me a credit note.

anyway, while catching the kribs i managed to make a bit of a mess of my tank!:

i've replanted everything now, and hopefully the plants will do ok. i'll upload some better pics soon if it'll let me.

cheers :good:

bit off-topic, but I like the mountain/volcano feature in your tank.

Great tiny pleco!
You definiatly chose the best pleco for your tank :)

thanks guys, i'm really happy with them! :D the mountain/volcano feature is a huge piece of bogwood, which they have already cleared nearly all of the algae off!!!

cheers :good:

Stunning. Are you going to breed these instead of the corys now? If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for them because ive had my eye out for some for a while.

thanks. i have decided to breed these instead of the corys, as the corys are still too young to breed, but when the corys are ready i'd like to hatch some eggs, but not loads. and it'll be a while before these breed, as they aren't very big yet.

i got the 7 for £20, but only because some where a bit smaller than 1". he normally sells them @ 5 for £20.

cheers :good:

Sounds good. They should be fairly easy to sell.

Thats a great price even 5 for £20 is cheaper than ive seen anywhere else.

Beutiful Plecos.
Even though I am a fan of the commen, I have to admit that these ones are super cute :)
Congrats with breeding, hope it go's all well.

P.S. Did you cook your veggies? Mine won't eat raw veggies, those picky little buggers :p
