This was just an experiment after reading some sites and seeing some youtube videos. Bottles are 2000ml from my lab CO2 diffuser inside tank (not visible in photo) is a nalgene tube with end cut off stuffed with filter material from my Betta tank DIY filter. Powered by yeast, suger, and water. I do need to add a check valve just in case but I'll get one tomorrow.

So far the pressure in the reaction bottle is increasing well. I have 2 plants in this 20g tank so hopefully this will give them a bit of a boost.

nice :) you say you got a home made diffuser got any pics of that? and i agree a check valve is needed at least you dont have expensive equipment at the end of the line :p

also the blue tubing is that co2 grade tubing or just normal airline hose as co2 will break down or break through the tubing you need co2 proof tubing  just to warn ya :D

good work and good job plants will love you for it :)

Zikofski,

Sorry it took a while but I can't resize on the iphone so had to get to the laptop.  This is a photo of the diffuser.  It's just a centrifuge tube with the tip cut off and stuffed with foam filter material to slow down the CO2 bubbles.  I'm using good quality silicone tubing so breakdown should be minimal.
