1. what kind of flow does it need
2.do i target feed it how often and with what
3. now i have hard and soft corals can i run a small internal filter with carbon in instead of having it in my external

also forgot to say i dont think its fully open as yet

Not 100% knowledgeable but:

1. Gentle flow through the polyps
2. You don't have to but if it accepts food then it will grow faster
3. Yeah you just don't want sponges or bio balls as they create nitrates

cool thanks what do you think of the coral

lovely coral Bae, is it a honey?

Don't forget to post picks on the coral of the week thread :good:

Hammers like gentle flow
some feed some don't, so give it a shot
they don't need or want very bright light (MH)
I don't run carbon, but i only have two softies, although my toadstool could cause problems! I have decided that because he is so happy, even when i touch him, that i will take the chance - he hasn't shed in over 8 months

seffie x

PS I seem to recall though that as soon as Tina was thinking about lps she started to run carbon

so will my lighting be ok

with 3x 42 inch 40watt t8 marine whites (gunna change one or two to blue)

and two 4 foot 54 watt t5 marine actinic whites

and im not sure weather its a honey or not just labeled as the hammer euthilia spelt wrong i know

Agree with conditions that Seffie said.

Yep, as soon as I got hard corals I started to run carbon. When reading THE BOOK, Borneman stated that corals don't like increases in the amount of carbon used, so I decided to use it all the time it does help with DOC's too. I have a TMC bubble stop in my sump that contains phoshate remover then carbon. I swap it regularly and place filter floss between the phos remover and carbon.

um i dont have a sump but could i use a small internal with carbon in

it would be behind my rocks and easy to get to so i may take that route also are my lights ok

Yes your lights are ok :good: just don't place the Euphyllia too close to the bottom of your tank - from the picture it looks to be placed very nicely :good:
