My new fishes

Here are 2 out of the 4 new betta's I acquired from Wuv (again, thanks so much Wuv) today.

After arriving today 2 are just as lively and active as all my other guys..the other 2...well they decided to take things a little slower lol..but thats ok..I'll let them acclimate at ther own speed.

Anyways, without further aduue...


This is Sao, which is Thai for Young Lady (Mustard Gas Crownie female)

My camera takes to long to get ready to snap another picture..or I would have gotten her in a funny position. She had her tail on a leaf and the rest of her was just free hanging straight down lol..was the funniest thing I've ever seen a Betta do. As soon as she noticed I was looking though, she looked at me as if to say, "hey! " and swam down to the bottom silly fishie.

This is Yom, which is Thai for Red Cedar (Red Plakat DT male)

He just came right in and made himself at home lol. He is a little cutie, everyone in the office just went on and on about how adorable he was!! He's pretty friendly too...not afraid of the fingers. In the second pic..I think he looks like a tired, little, puppy dog.

I can't wait til the other ladies are feeling more like themselves and I can show them to my guys..I think they are gonna like them alot.

oh, the other two...

The Mustard Gas Delta female....her name is Tip, which is Thai for Sky; and the other Mustard Gas Crownie Female...her name is Dee, which is Thai for Happy.

Isn't he just the cutest little thing you've ever seen! And the pics do him no justice..he's even cuter in person .

I've said before I wasn't too fond of DT's..but after seeing one in person..OMG I love them to death now lol. (great..another addiction to come I bet lol)

I couldn't be more pleased.

Yah...I was at a website called That Pet Place and they had some samll weighed silk plants, for very reasonable prices...so I bought one for each beanie box lol.

My other guys are looking at them like "What in the heck did you just stick in here with me?" lol He just swam his cute little self right over and plopped down, and cozied up in the leaves.

I can't wait to get to work tommorrow and see how they are.

I actually got my leaves and medications yesterday at the same time I got my fish lol.

When I do water changes today I am going to use the water I made overnight, using a piece I cut off (I cut several leaves up into similar size pieces to easy usage).

I think I am going to use it on the other 2 girls that came from Wuv..who aren't feeling so chipper yet. According to the medicine (Naladine) I am treating Toy with..I shouldn't combine it with any other type medications or antibiotics...so tommorrow when his treatment is done..I'll prolly put him in some as well. Thanks for asking .

lol when I came in today my Green Butterfly Sot was all rolled up in his leaves. The others still aren't quite sure of them yet..but I think they will soon figure out they are there to makelife even easier on them lol (not like they live a hard life mind you).

Well those aren't really "names" persay. I just look at the fish and pick either a chracteristic about them or color, then look up that word, and see if I like it. I try to stick to 3 letter words as well lol, so sometimes I have to search several times for many different words.

If you have any words that you'd like looked up, just let me know and I'd be happy to look them up for you. Only takes a second or two .

All the websites I've found..you have to pay for translation. There was one I used to go to, but it isn't there anymore (probably went pay as well). So, I went to Amazon.com and bought a used English to Thai dictionary lol, best $15 I've spent lol.

If you want, PM me a list of words to work with, and the maximum of letters you prefer (3, 4, 5 or doesn't matter..but I'll warn you..the longer the word the harder it is to pronounce lol) and I'll send you a list back, with meanings.
