My new bettas!

Here are some pictures of my beautiful new Bettas - thanks again Clover!!
The male is Oberon, the doubletail female is Titania and the other female is Tinkerbell!
They are gorgeous! Oberon has a 15 litre tank to himself, he keeps flaring and showing off anyway though and has had great fun exploring and has found lots of places to hide already and make me panic...he is the king of the castle (see pic) and has made a friend although frequently asks him what he's looking at and looking so grumpy (see other pic!!) I think he's upset and grumpy that he isn't so stunning as Oberon!!
The two females are gorgeous....so small still!! Tink is very friendly and whenever I go near the tank she is there looking straight at me saying hello!
They seem ot have travelled quite well although it got cold last night so they were quite cold when they arrived, their colour has picked up a lot since then though (since the photos were taken) and they have all eaten. Things are looking good. They are truly stunning and already full of character!!
Oh yeah...sorry for the state of the pictures...they have only been taken on my phone as I don't have a digital camera...I'll try and get some better ones soon. I still think they're gorgeous thugh...even when they are all blurry and slightly dark!

Hopefully those will come up...if they are too big......I'm really sorry but I don't know how to shrink them!!

He is the little show off! He's so friendly! If I put my finger to the glass he swims straight up to it! He's gorgeous. The colours on the girls are really coming up now too! YAY!!

They are lovely Sarah, but unfortunately your piccies just do not do them justtice
Did you use something like a mobile phone camera ?
If not, try taking the pic without a flash in a dark room - but with the tanklight on.

What kind of phone do you have. I'm getting a sony ericson Z500 tomorrow and hope it takes pictures as good as that.

Lovely bettas, as soon as I get my phone, I'll send some of Fassolt and Fafner, my half-moons.

I love Midsummer night's dream - my favorite work by the bard. I saw a great production of it at Stratford-on-Avon when I was a kid, and have loved it ever since. (granted, I'm partial to the comedies anyway, but it'll always have a special place in my heart) I think they're great names!

The phone is a Nokia 7610. It's great...mega-pixel thing! I've had it since Christmas. It does take astounding pictures.
Oberon is actually prety chilled although likes doing his swim, flare, swim, flare routine!! Show off! It's like he's saying....'Look new Mummy, I'm so beautiful you have to love me!!' He's got some irridescence coming on now too and his colour is almost perfect. He's been sunbathing all morning where half the tank is getting strong sunlight and the other isn't!! He's so cute ) !!
The girls are slightly - strange!! Tink has been a bit nippy with Titania so I've separated them in the breeding tank that is on the side of the main community tank...I don't think they are quite back to themselves and strong enough for the big tank yet. Tink's colouring is basically perfect now but Titania is a bit lethargic and her colour isn't so good so I though for her sake she didn't need Tink pesturing her.
However, since I separated them this morning they've been acting slightly strange! They keep 'dancing' across the plastic divider. They'll go length ways across the glass divider so that they're bodies are parallel to one-another. However, they are head-tail if that makes sense. Where Tink will have her tail at one end Titania will have hers the other so they are looking at eachother's tails. Even more strange they are bending their caudal fins towards one another. As they are the same size and length it's like making a circle. Does any of that make sense??? The pictures I've tried to take aren't clear at all.
Are they playing...I'm boss..no I am??? I have absolutely no idea what they are doing but it looks SO cute!!

That's what I was beginning to think was going on!! It's really cute!!!
I'm going to leave the divider in unitl Titania is back to full strength as tink was being a little terror to the poor thing and she's trying to recover!!
