My New 14"marbled Clarias Catfish

Hi all i bought a 14" clarias yesterday of my lfs my mate owns i thought id share some pics with you all

she is isn't she,she's still settling in at the mo moving plants about and stuff lol.

the lfs where i got her from is my mate and he feeds her by hand all the time so hopefully another tame fish

yeah just the biggies 2ft arowana,8/9"giant gourami, clarias and a couple of bn plecs and a pictus left in there now all the rest are in new tanks dotted around the house lol its all been rescaped too so a nice big cave for her now, i had to get my speedos on to get to the bottom of the tank lol

Id be inclined to move the pictus and b/n's before clarius eat's them, problem with the pictus is those hard spine's<three of them>they might well inflict some bad wound's if clarius try's to munch away

the pictus shares her cave and the bn's suck on her side its just my 12" gibiceps it has a problem with she wont share the caves lol gibiceps is in a new tank for now . i know what your saying with the pictus they bloody hurt lol drew blood many a time lol

Hehe yep i drew blood when i got mine, first one took 10 min's to get unstuck from net, so after i got a fish bag and wrapped it around the net, after that no problem,

took me 30 mins and a scuopal (for the net) poor thing i had very sore fingers, they grunt well too

hehe sure do, if iam gravel cleaning and all's silent you can hear them grunting and squeaking away

i had mine in a jug (ive learnt not to use a net now) it made me jump at first i didn't know they did it you could feel it through the jug alot my gf didn't believe me so i passed her the jug and she nearly threw it across the room lol
