i've had my male betta for about 6 weeks now (well he's my hubbys) and he's been living quite happily in my community tank. a few days ago i bought 2 female bettas... thought they'd cheer him up....and they are all getting along fine...he seemed to be showing off when he first noticed them!!!

i've since read that you shouldn't keep them together....is this right or should i leave them to live happily ever after?

I say seperate them, either get the male out or get both females out. They may be doing fine now but I've read way too many times how people thought their males and females were getting along fine only to wake up one morning with one of them dead, or both torn up or whatever. Also, you're probably going to have problems eith only 2 females, they need to be kept with at least 3 and better yet 4 or more females to allow a proper pecking order. With only 2, one will dominate the other and make life miserable for the submissive one.
