I originally had 3 rainbows and 6 giant danios.. almost right away 2 of the rainbows died.. so my little loner rainbow schooled with the giant danios.. those too eventualy died, so it went into another tank to school with buenos aires tetra.. then I found turquoise rainbows.. again, it schooled with them.. buenos aires and turquoise ended up dying..

So now it's in with silver dollars.. and guess what.. it wont leave the silver dollars..

The unfortunate thing is that the only place that sells these particular rainbows is wal mart.. and most of the fish I buy from wal mart die quite quickly.. He's pretty much the only wal mart fish I've had for more then a couple months... I'm going to try buying him some more friends when I hit up wal mart in a few days.. hopefully his friends will survive, and he wont be stuck being the odd one in the bunch anymore.

LOL

Just because they are ill-treated doesn't mean you're not killing them. Stop buying new fish until you learn to treat stressed fish properly, or stop buying them from ill-kept locations.

You should check the fish for desease, even if the sick fish die their dead bodies can still (and often) infect other fish in the tank. I particually suggest you check out such deseases and parasites like internal bacteria and internal parasites as well.
If you don't keep schooling/shoaling fish in the right numbers, they will die before their time ragardless of how you keep them. To the little rainbow fish, it must feel like the last rainbow in the world right now :/ .

lol..

I don't know why you're implying that I'm killing my fish.. I don't know why you're also implying that I don't know how to treat stressed fish properly...

Buying crappy quality fish has nothing to do with me not knowing how to treat stressed fish. I don't know what you're talking about when you're making these ridiculous claims.

I don't know if you're misenterpreting what I was trying to say, or what the deal is.

I have since bought 4 rainbows from somewhere else.
