Hi

I've got a male betta and have had since last thursday when I stocked my tank - he's in a tank with 3 head + tail tetras.
The tetras are mental and doing fine!
However, my betta tends to just stay in one corner of the tank, near the surface, between the filter and the heater - is this normal? Is he just hiding?

they sometimes take a whilt to settle in, do you have plants etc in the tank for him to rest on?

maybe the tetras are bugging him as most fish do, bettas are really better
of living on their own,

Yeah there's plants etc. for him the rest on. I guess he's just settling down!

If I were you I would remove the betta and put him in his own 1g or bigger tank because most likely he doesn't like the tetras and maybe the tetras are attacking and him and you forgot to mention his fins were torn.
