 I was feeding my fishies and one of my leopard cories jumped - as they sometimes do
unfortunately he banged his head full pelt on the metal strengthening bar on the top of the tank

His little head was bleeding and he kept sinking unable to come up for air so i put him in the baby net so he didnt have far to go to get air but within 10 minutes he was dead :-(

I feel really guilty though i know it wasn't my fault - has anyone got any tips on what to do if that happens again - though i dont think it will it was a fluke accident :-(

:rip: spotty (my little boy named him) :-( :-(

Sarah xx

Yeah dont feel too bad-my leopards are the friskiest of my cories-one day summat will happen to mine-probably head butt each other!

I had that sort of happen to a betta once, poor guy got excited and banged his head on the hood, He was never the same after that.

I'm sorry :-(
I had a guppy do something simmiler. He jumped out of my tank. By the time I found him it was too late.

My favourite lil' Zebra Danio did something similar: smacked full speed and headfirst into something solid and died.

*sniffles*

He was such a cute lil' fella - always used to swim up to whatever I was doing, stick his barbels straight out and have a good old nosey in the hope that something edible would turn up.
