Recently I was at a local Wal-Mart, looking at filter prices with my father. As we walked down the isle my dad heard a crunch. We looked, and there was a crushed black mass on the floor. I had no idea what it was. A few steps ahead was a black lump. I bent over for a look and what did I discover- a black mystery snail! Now the nearest fish tanks were about 10-15 feet away from where this (and the other one :() were on the floor. I went up to an employee, who said I could keep it or she would throw it away because it was "probably already dead". I took the girl home and popped her in my quarantine tank, where she immediately popped out of her shell and scooted about in the tank. She's been introduced to my betta tank, where recently I discovered an offspring of hers (he is now in the quarantine tank). She's quite a fun snail. :3

Also, I'm in the market for some cherry shrimp, but am a college student and don't have much funds. Any of you know where I could get inexpensive cherry shrimp? Any suggestions appreciated. :D

So what was that crunch? if it was the shell then why does the snail look like it still have it? and who made the crunch? I am Confused

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Apparently 2 snails were on the floor... One was unknowingly stepped on by my father as he walked behind me. :(

So far ebay is the cheapest place I could find for RCS. Most LFSs have ghost shrimp if you fancy those. Shipping is the most expensive part of the whole deal and it is cheaper when you buy from ebay, but is it reasonable to do so, I am not sure, never had an experience?
