my huma trigger died a day after i got him,

I just dont get it, i have two tomato clowns , two striped damsels, and a puffer and i had the trigger. i got the trigger and the puffer the same day. all my other fish are fine and i dont know why he died. i was laying on the botttom and then looking like hes suffocating, please someone help me learn why he died....

shock mabye. Did you let him acclimate to the tank temp before you put him in the tank? Also what are the water parameters? Gasping can also mean amonia poisoning.

Sometimes you buy fish sick aswell.

Or mabye he was just old

yea i dont know what happened he was a babie, he was cool for a few days and then just croaked?!?!?! and all my ther fish are fine, i do have a nudibranch in my tanks but he hhasent botheres anyone yet, i just dont know?`

so now one of my fish has ich"the puffer" and i dont know what to do the store told me lots of different options and i am sooooo lost? i was told to buy this medicine but the medicine will kill my inverts and my live rock, and i spent like 60$ on all that, so i kinda dont want to medicate. so then the next option was to quarintine it in asmaller tank which i dont have and would cost 60$, and if i do this there is still a chance of the others in the main tank getting ich. so my next option is to kill the puffer and hope the tank is ok, none of these options sound good to me, is there anything else i can do please help

All I can tell you is this: Don't kill the puffer. A life is worth a lot more than 60 bucks...

Try a looking up a freshwater dip on the internet, I'm not sure how to do this so look it up on the internet. do you have a skimmer and a RO unit?
also, you NEED to buy a bigger aquarium as soon as possable, a 29 gallon is way to small. try to see if you can get your petstore to hold the fis in one of there bigger display tanks for the time being.

sorry to here that!!! maybe it was sick when you got him and the stress from him being moved to a new home it got to him!!
