A few weeks ago we bought a trio of Rams. We now know we should only have bought a pair. The second female has been ostracised and chased off continually by the other two so in the absence of another male after a few days she joined my 3 female Bettas. She spends all of her time with them now and they seem to just accept her. She even comes to the top to be hand fed along with my very spoilt Betta girls who have always been hand fed.
Today I put a 12 inch airstone into the tank and all evening the 3 bettas and their Ram sister have been playing in the bubble mist. It has been so funny watching them I decided to share it with all of you!

That sounds so sweet.

It's amazing how well female Bettas can sometimes adopt other species of fish into their ranks. I have two Croaking Gouramis living with several of my female Bettas (I think there are six, but I don't really remember right now, as I change things around a lot), and they have started to act like female Bettas. When I got them, all they'd eat is live worms, and now they eat pellets and wiggle their butts to get dinner JUST like the female Bettas. I've even caught them sleeping with the female Bettas inside the plants.

Haha, that's sooo cute! When I first got Mini there was a female feeder guppy in her tank that kept trying to shoal with her.... she didn't like that at all
