my heater, what can i do?

im getting a heater for a 3 gallon tank, i used a 75 watt heater!!! i didnt know it wasnt allowed in a small tank! sorry , my mistake

so what watt should i get?

ill probably only find a 25 watt in my lfs, is that to high?

That's no problem - as long as it has a thermostat it will only switch on when the water gets too cold anyway. I use a 150 watt in my 5 gallon with no problems.
