So I own a 19 litre tank and in that tank I keep 2 female guppys,4 male guppys and 2 corydoras, albino and a bronze... I got this tank for my birthday-18th December 2019, I set it up let it all cycle. I then added 4 male guppies into that tank just before the end of Feb everything was going fine, last month I added a baby male guppy to my tank and a couple of weeks after I added the corydorres. Yesterday everything was fine until I go downstairs and look at my fishtank,to my surprise I find my guppy without a tail however he is still alive.. but He still had his tail earlier that day but then on the day before yesterday I lost one of my male guppies so I sorted all that out... But I don't know what to do... I don't know whether I should move the fish without the tail into a another tank despite that he can still swim well only at top anyway... Bare in mind I spent 2 hours crying over this fish? Yes I get attached very easily but don't come for me!! Does anyone know what happened to my fish or what I should do?Or will be even grow his tail back?

will his tail even grow back?

Yes, it will grow back with time...

For now do large water changes. (50% - 70% every day or every other day)

Did the males bite it off? If so, remove the injured female from the tank, so it doesn’t get any worse.

Male guppies can be territorial, so adding new ones can cause problems. What is your ammonia/nitrate/nitrite?
What is your GH? You can find the gh on your local water providers website

Do large water changes to help it heal and prevent secondary infection
