As it says what is the best thing to do regarding keeping the fry? Shall I put mom in a breeding net? should I partion of part of the tank? Ive only noticed today she is pregnant so how long will it take her to drop? Any advice would be appreciated as I havnt had a pregnant fish before!!!
Female guppys usually give birth every 30 days or so.She will get very round and her gravid spot at the back of her stomach will get very dark and fill up-you may be able to see the eyes of the fry
As she gets nearer to having them she may start staying by herself among the plants or she may be harassed by the male guppy who is hoping she will drop the fry so he gets a feed!
I advise you to go to the livebearer section where there are a few pinned articles on keeping fry and breeding nets/growing on tanks etc and there are some really knowledgeable livebearer owners who should be able to answer any questions you have
