Fooled by the empty feeding plastic pipette

The red belly is from the colour of the bloodworms it's eaten.

Those are lovely little DPs you've got there! I'm taking it you bred them right? Well done for bringing them up, it's not easy :good:

EDIT: grammar

Yes they are tank bred Matt :D I mentioned I would post pics of them a little while back in the oddballs forum.

Nice job mate :good: Sorry to hi-jack but is it difficult to breed Figure 8 Puffers, or is a 25 gallon tank too small?

 Sorry, I have no idea Matt. I've only kept and bred Dwarf Puffers. I'm sure someone in the Brackish Forum can answer you that.

OK thanks anyway :good: Sorry for the hi-jack

Those are the most adorable little puffers I've ever seen. Well done. Any plans of breeding more?

Dwarf Puffers are Sexable. Figure8 Puffers to my knowledge arent. So that in its self makes it somewhat easier lol

Thanks for the nice comments everyone :D

I have several smaller ones in another tank. Hope a few will grow up like these two. The adults are still mating regularly but not as often as a month ago.

DarkEntity:
Imagine what it must be like having baby figure 8 puffers  ......

In my very limited experience, breeding DPs has been fairly straight forward. My biggest hurdle is getting the fry to survive the first few weeks.

Great pics, I especially like the one with the babies expecting food from the pipette  , well done on breeding and rearing these great little fish, Is the plant that’s most visible a type of duckweed?

Thanks Liam & three-fingers:
Imagine this --> me + shaky hands + one hand holding pipette the other holding camera = not too bad a pic
Yes Liam, that's ivy leaf duckweed (Lema trisulca). It's a very pretty semi-floating plant and the only plant that I can keep alive in my tanks  I'm surprise it's not more commonly seen. Here's a duckweed pic

You've done a great job. I suppose you probably have already, but have you got a log of how you bred them?

Thanks Fella  Actually, I have not kept any breeding notes apart from taking lots of pictures
The adults court and mate almost daily (they have slowed down a bit now). I would get very confused trying to keep track of each set of babies :S :S  especially most don't survive pass a few weeks.
