so i just bought a puffer. i love him very much already. hes a bit shy of me when i come to the tank but i think this will improve. hes in a "very" small tank right now. but will be getting him a new home soon. I read that they eat microworms and bloodworms. i dont have any live foods. i do though, have a snail tank. the tank was overan by snails so i let them have it...how often should i feed my puffer snails? hes eatin the 2 i through in there but am wondering what i have at home that he can eat. i have shrimp for people to eat and shrimp pellets. is there anything else i might have at home? algae wafers??

i have the temp at 78 and 2 filters running on it. it being a small tank it filters istelf two times a minute with the filters i have on...theres a bit of current and sand for the bottom. do they prefer currents??

also a name is needed...if you have any ideas let me know and thanks for your help

I think green spotted puffers require at least one snail a day because the shell is great for grinding down their teeth which grow very quickly and if not grinded down will overgrow and it will die. Im not sure its the green puffer in particular that requires at least one snail a day but wont do any harm to feed yours one a day. Congrats on getting one by the way, great fish :good:
