I have been considering adding a cleaning crew to my 6 gallon tank, and since I really don't think I have room for corys, and can't seem to keep snails alive, I am looking into Ghost Shrimp. Current inhabitants of the tank are: 2 cherry barbs, and 3 platys. They are all pretty peaceful fish. Do you think they would be ok if I added some shrimpies? :p And do I need to feed the shrimp anything else besides the flake food that falls to the bottom? Also, how many do you think I could add to the tank? Do they enjoy each other's company? I am thinking 2-3, opinions would be helpful! Thanks.

I have ghost shrimp in with my Platys and they do just fine. The ghost shrimp are great! Mine seem to do fine simply 'scavenging'. Not sure if I'm supposed to be feeding 'em otherwise :/ Maybe that's something I should check in to, eh? Not sure how many you could add to a six gallon. I have two in my 10 gallon, but have been told I could have more.

Enjoy!

I put some in my 29 a long time ago. I couldn't tell you what generation is in there now, they've reproduced so many times

They're very peaceful and happy just picking up leftovers
