my ghost shrimp has eggs that are green and i was wondering what i should do? should i leave her in there or what, i only have a ten gallon tank and no other tanks so can she live in a fish bowl or um what? please help!!! :S

i've had this happen before and was very excited about having more "free" shrimp to disperse among my tanks so i did some research with my biology teacher from high school. from what we found and i remember only some of the information, the female will drop the eggs and they will hatch but are very difficult to see and to raise, especially left in a tank with fish where they'll become fish food.
despite this, i still think it couldn't be that difficult (even though i didn't want to bother), they are after all sold very cheaply at fish/pet stores.

edit: i decided to do some googling on the breeding of ghost shrimp and found a little blurb here with basic info.

well bad news, the mothers eggs hatched and then she died :-( i havnt seen any of the babies so they msut hae died to :(

positive this one hac a skeleton and everything plus i onyl have a 10 gallon so theres not theat much room to hide
