I currently have 5 Galaxy Rasbora's - two females and three males. They currently have a Betta squatting in their tank but when he settles down somewhere, they start chasing each other and the males flare their fins at each other and the females. I would like them to breed, and know it probably won't happen whilst the Betta is in there but i am planning on moving him out soon for this reason.

They are in a BiOrb and using the UGF that is in the tank. Would the fish be able to breed in the tank with this filter and would the fry be able to survive? or would all the eggs and fry just be sucked down through the gravel?
It would be awesome if they could breed

here are some pictures

While I'm not quite sure what a BiOrb is, I'm guessing its just spherical in size and thats the only difference between it and a regular tank. I'm also guessing from your pictures that you just have an airstone powering your undergravel filter. If both of these are true I would say that no, your eggs and fry will not be sucked down into the gravel (unless you have that air stone hooked up to a mechanics air compressor!) On the other hand I don't know how successful you will be actually raising your eggs and fry though in such a small tank. I don't know specifically about breeding that particular species, but in my previous fry raising ventures, you really need a seperate tank to place eggs in to raise away from the main tank so that you can better control all of the conditions that will favor them as well as feed them the special food they need. I hope that helps!

The Rasbora's are now settling in to a 118L (25G) tank :) Planning on adding atleast three more in the near future. I think i only have 1 female and 4 males at the minute :/
