Hi,

I recently added 4 rasbora scissor tails to my tank of 12 tetra and 4 catfish.

After the rasbora were added all the tetra started hiding, however today three of my tetra have started hiding by the filter but everything seems normal about them.

Has anyone had anything like this before? Also is it possible they are hiding due to being bullied?

All my levels are 0 and Ph is 6.8.

thanks.

what size tank is it including dimesions and what is your total stocking. i need to know more than 'tetras' and 'catfish'

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
Rare to have a nitrate reading of 0. What your tap nitrate reading. Do you have live plants in the tank.
Seen any fin nipping. Or any of there fins nipped.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do the tetra look pale.
Do the tetra fins look clamped.

i have 6 glowlight tetras and 6 green neon tetras. The tetras that are hiding are 3 glowlight tetras.

There is no problems with the catfish they are fine they are corydoras sterbai and swim around happily.

The tank is a 64L tank with 20 fish in total.

Your tanks slightly overstocked then for a 64 litre.

Fish can hide away if stressed or ill.
Have you seen any of the new fish chasing them around.
I would of told you to build the glowlight tetra shoal up but you already have enough fish in the tank.

My tank is a 64L tank. I have 2 live plants. My nitrate reading is 0 because i only did a water change this morning.
There are no signs of flicking or rubbing. The fins are not clamped. They dont look pale. and non of there fins are nipped.

thanks

They feel threatend then by the new fish as there glowlight tetra shoal are only 3.
Give them abit more time to except the other shoal of fish.
It happend to me in the past.
Just keep a close eye on them for now.

My glowlight shoal is 6 but only 3 of them are hiding by the filter.

Sorry thought you meant you only had 3 glowlights.
I would just keep a close eye on them as they don't sound ill at the moment.
Probably just abit of stress due to adding new fish to the tank.

Ok thanks. Will keep my eye on them.

Its happened to me in the past that some of the shoal will hide when you add new fish.
