I BOUGHT TWO FISH LAST SATURDAY ( THEY ARE BLACK FAN TAILS WITH BIG BOBBLY EYES!!!)
ANYWAY THEY HAVE BEEN FINE UNTIL TODAY AND THEY ARE BOTH RESTING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK AND THE LITTLE OF THE TWO HAS LITTLE WHITE BITS ALL OVER IT.
EVERYTHING IN MY TANK IS BRAND NEW AND I'VE PUT ALL THE STUFF IN THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TOO TO MAKE THE WATER SAFE.
I HAVE THE RIGHT FILTER FOR THE TANK AND HAVE DONE EVRYTHING THAT I WAS TOLD TO DO.
THE FOOD I FEED THEM IS THOSE PELLET THINGS THAT STAY ON THE TOP OF THE WATER, I GIVE EACH FISH TWO LITTLE PELLETS ONCE A DAY AND NO MORE.
I SEEM TO BE GOING THROUGH FISH LIKE THEY ARE GOING OUT OF FASHION AND WOULD BE GRATEFUL OF ANY HELP AND ADVISE BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO TRY AS THESE ARE THE 10TH LOT OF FISH I'VE BOUGHT.

Do you mean they look like they have been sprinkled in salt if so you have whitespot.

You will need to turn temp up to 30, add some salt if you have no scaless fish in there, add a whitespot med, i would preform a gravel vac and water change before you add the med, good luck.

I HAVE BOUGHT SOME WS3 WHITE SPOT TERMINATOR FULL STRENGH AND DONE A WATER CHANGE, YOU SAID I NEED TO ADD SALT PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME HOW MUCH AND WHAT TYPE?
I ONLY HAVE THE TWO BLACK FAN TAILS WITH BOBBLY EYES(DON'T KNOW CORRECT NAME FOR THEM!!!)
WILL THIS BE OK TO ADD SALT WITH THESE FISH?
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE ADVISE.

The fish you have are known as 'black moor' goldfish. You can buy fresh water tonic salt for your tank from your local aquatic shop such as Interpet's 'Aqualibrium' or API's tonic salt (which comes in a white an pink carton) which are fine for goldfish as long as you stick to the instructions on the packet. Some people use rock salt, but I don't know the dosage for that... Wilder may know ^_^

I've used rock salt it takes ages to disolve in the bucket though so make sure you stir it well and it has fully dissolved before you add it to the tank, usually tells you on the container how much to use.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW BOTH MY FISH ARE GETTING BETTER AND NOW ONLY HAVE A FEW WHITE BITS ON THEM.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND ADVISE AS THIS DEFINETLY SAVED MY FISH.
THANKS AGAIN.

That good news.
