My First Tank.

hello, well after being a regular guest on this site I have decided to sign up and share my current tank which I have had for about a year now.

Its a 10 Gallon Bowl housing 4 Platy's, 2 Cardinal tetras, Java fern and some Bogwood which is soon to be replace by a custom 36"x24"x24" tank which will house a few Drawf Cichlid (not sure how many yet, dont want to overstock so any suggestions are welcome) and lots of rocks for them to hide behind.

Nice i dont normally like the bowls and biorbs but thats nice. About you new tank you could do a mbuna tank if you wanted you have a 90gallons to stock up.

No, Its an Aqua EL Bowl 45.
Its made from glass and not plastic like the Biorb's.

can you imagine when I first got it the shop then sold me 4 Kissing Gourami, 4 Neons and 2 Angel fish!!!
No wonder they all died dispite 25% water changes daily!!!!!!........I don't shop there no more.

Pricey , 95 squids for the 45 litre on, but they are nice, being glass n all

Ginge, that tank doesn't measure up to 90Gallons, i'm not working it out but it's more around 30Gallons(ish).

Also, that bowl looks smaller than a 10G, but they do anyway because they don't have a very large footprint, also your cardinals should really be in a bigger group of 6+ but I wouldn't really recommend it for that size tank. I'm not a fan of bowls personally.
I can't wait until you set up your new tank, I hope your making a journal, should be fun to see, everyone loves journals!

Here's a pic of the filter. Very basic but does the job fine for this bowl.
