My First Fish Euthanasia :'(

ive jsut put down my poor fish, a gorgeous marble molly. his face was rotting away, i have NO idea what it is ive tried everything but he just gets worse. the bottom half of his head had completley rotted away and i could see inside him and his gill skin had all gone, just pink flesh was showing. his eyeball was also on the brink of popping out. for his sake and the sake of my other fishies, i put him down today it was sad but i am glad i did it.

i used to clove oil method and it was very quick and looked painless.

i had to do that with my first betta.... it was sad! it had ich, and i could tell i was losig it. i tried everything and nothing worked... it kept moving less and less each day... i just used to freezing water. i asked what i should do, and the person that suggested that warned me that the fish would prolly have a shock of the cold for a split second, then go... the betta didnt do anything.. it just died then.

but i also saw a fish like what you described at walmart... but there wasnt an eye, just a hole and it was scary... what is that??
