This isn't my first freshwater tank, but it is the first of this size. I currently have 1 black ghost knife, 1 Chinese algae eater, 4 clown loaches, 2 black skirt tetra, 3 white skirt tetra, 3 glow fish and one common pleco. The pleco spends the summer in my 600gal koi pond but I know he wouldn't last the winter out there. I am currently cycling a new filter, going from two hanging filters to a canister filter and one hanging filter. I want to change the substrate from gravel to sand, but unsure how the fish would take the move to a tub while I change it over. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share them with me as I am learning a lot from this forum and appreciate the knowledge of the members. Here a few pictures of the tank.
Tank
surprised him one evening, he was on his way back under the rocks to hide from the camera.
Big pleco (MR. P) and BGK (Blackie), Mr P don't like to come out for pics, he can hear the camera turn on and swims back under the rocks.
I would like to get some angel fish but I am unsure of compatibility and or overstocking. Like I said before the pleco goes out in the pond for the summer but he is in there for a couple months in the winter. Any suggestions? future plan of a 500 gal tank in my basement, but wont be for a year or two.
