i just set up my tank today! it has cured (or close to it) live rock, filter, sand ,heater the back is black and it looks amazing!!!!! i found a starfish that was torn up a little bit in the process and i think a random live coral.
will the starfish regrow its legs as ive heard it will and what other creatures could i find

YEY, get some pics up :) You might see some bristleworms in the near future. Perhaps some pod life, fan worms, crabs, who knows, theres lots of hitchikers in there I'm sure, just be patient, you'll wait months to end up seeing some of them. Whats the coral look like?

its just some small red mushrooms and some tiny i mean tiny anenome shaped ones

hopfully get some pics today or tomorrow

i was thinking of getting:
daisy polyps
green zoanthids
fiji leather
pair of the smallest species of clown fish my lrs has

sorry the pictures are blury :/ but these pics on this thread are my first ones

That last one looks like a mini feather duster. Not sure about the others, a little blurry :) For closeup pictures, use macro mode and put the lens actually up against your glass to stabilize the camera ;)

thanks for the tip. but do i keep the tank light on or off when i shoot?

its been around 5 days since i started it. is it okay that there isnt much spread of the algae yet?

1) tank lights on + no camera flash :good:

2) you should aim to not get algae, keeping phosphate level very low (use rowa-phos or similar) will help :)
