This is the first molting experience for me and it is quite cool. One of my fiddlies molted sometime between yesterday and 8:00pm today. I was out of town at my friends house so I didn't see it till I came home today. I though one of my fiddlies died when I saw the crab laying on it's back on the sand but I realized I didn't have a yellowish white fiddler and upon closer examination it appeared to be hollow. I knew it was a definate molt when I saw that all my crabs were still active.
It was easy to figure out who it was because he was always hiding, and the molted crab had a large claw on its left hand and I only have one leftie. It was indeed Paras (like the pokemon).
Picture of Paras' exoskeleton.
Closer Picture of Paras' exoskeleton. Its pretty.
Paras hiding under the mangrove.
His exoskeleton again! You can see him in the background. He was eating it but I kinda startled him.
I'll leave him be for a couple of days.
Hoped you guys like the pics. If you guys have any advice on any actions I should take let me know.
