Fish Herder
Yesterday I went to the pet store and bought a air pump and one of those 5 way valve things so I could put airstones in each of the bettas compartments as I only have a filter on one side of the tank and the flow just cant reach the last 2 divided compartments. A film would be on the surface of those 2 compartments everyday and I was getting real tired of using paper towel and skimming the top.
Anyways so I had the hood off the tank while I was working getting tubing and airstones in each compartment. Now I know my girl is a jumper as she always does little flips when I feed her but I never would of imagined she'd actually jump out of the tank. As I was working I heard a funny noise and instinctivly looked on the floor and saw this funny black shape at first I thought it was a piece of packaging from the air pump or something but then it began flipping around. OH NO So I tried to scoop her up with my fingers but because she was so slimy I couldn't get a good grip on her but after a few seconds I managed to pick her up and I put her back in the tank. FEWWW I was so afraid she was brain damaged or something because she fell from pretty high up and I have wood floors. She did seem a little disorientated and stressed for the first 5-10 mins or so but then she was back to swimming normal.
She's got a little tear in her tail but those usually heal within a few days and if that's all the damage she got from her fall it's a relief cause I love that little girl so much. She's one of my favorites if not my favorite
