My Feather Duster...

Im not sure whats wrong with my feather duster. Part of the 'feathers' are coming off for some reason...anyone know why?

Is it the whole crown, or just little bits of individual feathers. If its the whole crown:

they can dispose of their feather when distressed/hurt/sick or whatever. Fortunately, if they get better, they can regrow their feathers. Unfortunately, when my feather dusters lost its feathers, they both died.

keep params stable and at good levels, dont overfeed, and keep an eye on it. When things start to eat it, it is probably dead, or when the worm has fully left the tube.

Its losing a few of the individual feathers.... You know the long worm like things (dunno how to describe them lol)

He's only lost a few... Its got plenty left and looks healthy but its just soem of the feathers have half missing... Just directly fed him with some filter liquid food, whihc it reacted well to

Tubeworms tend to be delicate, simple as. Mine was the only invert that the puffer ever bothered. Didn't kill it but trimmed it every once in a while. Shouldn't be too much to worry about... monitor for further damage.

the crown is all the feathers and the base, they are connected at the base in slight circular pattern, like a crown.

Mine lost it's crown when I first got it, but it grew back so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Check for a post from myself about it.

When a feather duster drops it's crown, it is under stress. The usual cause is starvation. What are you feeding it and how are you feeding it? SH

I feed it with some liquid food for filter feeders once a week.... Its SeAquariums's Invertfood... What do you guys use?
I use a pipette to direct feed it. I have others in my other tank which are great. It has improved so mush though When i squirt it, it comes out slightly, then goes in its tube then repeats the process till i stop feeding.
