well as im new to the forum and someone wanted pics of my mob i thought id share, i will also tell you a bit about me. i am a trustee of a small dog rescue charity based in south east england called prodogsdirect. we rescue and rehome alsorts of unwanted dogs and most come to us through no fault of there own. sadly a lot of people think rescue dogs have problems and some even think they should be pts, there is nothing wrong with them they do sometimes come in with probems but they are usually created by there human. some are rehomed becuase there owners circumstances change or they get totaly the wrong dog for them to start with. most of the dogs i foster are ex breeding dogs from puppy farms, they have a hell of a life till we get them out and sadly it is perfectly legal. one of my own dogs freda a cocker spaniel is an ex breeder she came to me last year and is about 7/8 yrs, she is nearly blind and has a foot deformity, she has no toes. but she was still bred from. she i think is now having a lovely life and definatly no more pups. my other 3 dogs are peggy a red cocker, buddy a chi x and merlin who is a deaf white sheltie. i also have my 3 cats. bear is a norwiegan forest cat and pip and pixie and moggies. oh and i mustnt forget bilbo guinea pig. i am here as the only human, and i am disabled. so here they are.

:hi: to the pet section of tff - its great to have you here :good:

Thanks for sharing your background, I really look forward to your input

And I have just got to nominate your lovely cat in the 3rd photo - assume he is the Forest cat, for POTM - who will be kind enough to second?

I will second the vote for POTM! He's a beauty!!

Would love to see more full photos of him? And more infor if poss, where'd you get him? He sounds unusual! Lovely black face markings!

They are all a beautiful bunch :)

well that is very kind of you , he is a handsome fellow, bit of a toad though. he thinks he is a dog sometimes. he plays with merlin my white sheltie all the time and they do play rough they are such naughty boys. i got bear from a nfc breeder near where i live in kent, his posh name is baggins romeo. ive always wanted a nfc they are stunning cats the largest naturally occuring domestic breed. they have been found in the graves of vikings. they havent changed much at all and they certainly havent been altered by breeders like a lot of cats and dogs. they are a very natural breed, legend has it they are the cats that pull freya's chariot. i will sort some pics out of the hairy hooligan tomorrow.
thanks tracey

id better explain who is who as i think ive got confused. the first picture , (after the dogs)the grey cat with the bright green eyes is bear the nfc. the second one after the dogs is pippin my 15 yr old tabby cat. i got her as a kitten a long time ago. and the third cat is pixie my black and white she was adopted from the cats protection about 9 yrs ago. pip has a lot of long standing health issues, she suffers from stress believe it or not and is on anti d's , this causes her to have idopathic cystitus and now she also gets chrystals in her urine. but she is still a wonderful pet. it is not very often though that she gets comments from people saying how lovely she is, (other than from me ofcourse) most people ignore her and look at bear. so am chuffed someone likes her.oh and thanks so much for nominating her, she is such a special old girl she has been through so much. thanks tracey

Thanks for the info, its really interesting, I love hearing about the different history's of the pets on here :good:

Between us all we must have loads of different breeds of cats and dogs let alone the lovely bitsas

beautiful cats (and dogs)

the black and white one looks exactly like my old cat Twinkletoes. I got her when I was three years old, and she was also three years. She lived to tthe ripe old age of 19. We grew up together, she was more like a sister to me than a cat. Looking at Pixie makes me cry :(
