hello.
i bought a female gouramis about 2 days ago to make 2 pairs of neon dwarf gouramis.
i didnt notice anything when i put her in, i wasn't really looking really
only today 3 of the gouramis including the new (the worse) one have peachy/browny patches on them, only in one place. There about 5mm-1cm
The patches kinda look look like the patches on a dog e.g black dog with a white pactch.
Does anybody know what it is and how to get rid of it

If those patches look, umm, fluffy, it's probably fungus. Salt is the best treatment I think. Won't hurt guppies or gouramis.

I still suspect fungus. I would treat with salt as salt fixes alot of stuff.

ok. what should i do. i hear so much for so gallons but thats U.S gallons when i'm in England though i could just work iy out in U.S gallons.
Would i just pour salt in and leave it as that./?
first time i have something like this

They say never add salt directly to the tank. Premix it first. The recommended dosage for you would be 2 heaping tablespoons for every 8.32674 UK gallons. I've used half the dosage with great effect.

how do you premix it?
do you know a link to work out U.K gallons

no worries found one./
I have 15g (U.s tank) which is 12g (U.K)

How do i premix it?
is it ordinary table salt

Use aquarium salt (from your LFS/LPS), and the better quality you can get the better.
Pre mix it by taking some water out of the tank and mixing the salt with that, then pouring it back in. Use a reasonable amount of water, the idea is to stop the fish getting burned on bits of undesolved salt so you want to make sure that youd dissolve it all

so i can just add it with my water change?
whats the best make?

As far as I know all salts are the same. You could add it now if you wanted to. No reason to wait till the water change.
