sorry if this is the wrong spot to put this.
I know this would be really hard to pull off. But maybe in a few years when I have my OWN room (and my parents trust me more) then it could work.
It would have to be between 29 and 55 gallons long, which is WAY bigger than what i have now. half would be water and half land. both would have lots of plants. though the land ones would have to be fake. the land would be dirtish stuff. there probably wouldnt be gravel in the water part, that would make things harder.

water stocking:
mainly guppies and a betta, but i might throw some ottos and ADFs for variety.

land/water:
my pacific tree frogs I have now. think they would enjoy the extra water. my friend has a set up sort of like this, except there  is only stones for land(i dont think the frogs mind, they mostly hang out in the plants anyway)
would be hard to make work:
my land hermit crabs. there would also be a bowl of saltwater on land, but im not sure if it would be safe for frogs and newts, would it? and when they go into the water they take some dirt with them, would this be a problem for fish?
i also think newts would be cool. i've had them before (roughed-skinned) would they eat fish? thats the only problem i can think of.

yes, i know this would be really hard to pull off. expecially with the crabs and newts.
i am sure you guys will find all sorts of problems with this set up

That soubds awesome! What you are thinking of is a "vivarium"

My only concern is the crabs needing heat and humidity, making the water evaporate faster.

And, newts are very sensitive to salt. As are frogs.

Yeah, the crabs might be the hardest to work in. Do newts eat fish? When i had newts before they ate frozen bloodworms.
