While feeding my fish live bloodworms I realized that the worms will only live probably another week or so in my fridge and I still had a good amount left. I figured the easiest thing to do would be to freeze them but I couldnt think of a good thing to freeze them in until I looked around and saw my Dentyne Ice gum case in the trash. It was empty of course and the little spaces for the square gum is perfect for my fish (if cut in half for each tank) no more wasted worms!

I know a lot of you guys will say to just buy the already frozen packs but I prefer to get the live ones for my fish. In the amount they sell me I cant feed enough to my fish before the worms die (im assuming they're dead as they turn milky white) the frozen idea is great for me especially since I get 12 cubes (plus all the live feedings) for $1.50.

Thats a really good idea dude!
Freeze them into mini cubes then pop them out into a bag or something.

Yep, after a couple batches of half wasted worms (I dont see how the LFS keeps them alive so long) I finally tonight thought of that. the fish still get the nutritional value of the worms but they arent alive anymore. I havent tried the cubes yet but I have a feeling they will go into a frenzy over them... We'll see!
