Oh I thought it had been in a scrap, every now and then my 4 have a bit of a spat and they get similar marks but they soon clear up.

Wow, I have never mixed that many species of loach, do you ever have any aggro.
Which species have you got in there?

apart from the slime coat, nothing.
it is a natural colour variation smithrc

the only aggro is from the tiger loaches (mainly amounst themselves)
but that is not a problem.
I've never had any fights, just enthusiastic chases

Would the tiger loach be less aggressive if it was by itself? Then again, if there are more of them, then they might fight among themselves. The reason I ask, is the time I had the B. Beauforti (4 of them), they were not only aggressive towards themselves, but also towards my YoYo's....

Just doing a little research before I get my loach tank up and running. I like the Tiger Loach, but not if its going to be super aggressive.

I have 3 green tiger loaches and 1 tiger loach
they are fine togehter and as I have said they occasionally
have manic chase moments.

IME the are nowhere near as evil as skunk loaches
but it is a species I wouldn't have without other botias in the tank.
