Hi,

I have a danio that has developed a hole- as if it has had a lump eaten out of it. It has got deeper over night and red. i have also niticed that its scales underneath are raised slightly. It doesn't seem to be eating, but is swimming about fine.
I have looked about on the net for a diagnosis, but not found any answers.

If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated.

I tested my water and all the levels are fine. I change my water regulary and no other fish are unwell.

I thought i would try a internal bacteria medison?

Thanks.

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and whch type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Did is start off as a sore or pimple that ulcerated into a hole.
Any holes in the gills plates.
Any excess mucas on the gills or body of the fish.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do the gills look pale or red and inflamed.
Is there any swelling underneath the scales. Or a lump filled with fluids.

Is it possible to load a pic up of the sick fish.

How many gallons or litres is the tank.- litres: 180

How many fish and whch type. We have, the 2 leopard danios, 5 neon tetras, 5 guppys and a few babys, 3 dwarf garamis, 1 femail fighter, silver shark, black shark, sucking loach and a catfish.

Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph. 0 amonia, 0 nitrite, 30ppm nitrate and 7ph.

Did is start off as a sore or pimple that ulcerated into a hole: I didn't notise anything till the small hole. it has got worse from yesterday.

Any holes in the gills plates: not as yet, but round it

Any excess mucas on the gills or body of the fish: not that i can see.

Any signs of flicking and rubbing: none

Do the gills look pale or red and inflamed: the holes and under its head are red. over night there is a red rash come up on the side of its body.

Is there any swelling underneath the scales. Or a lump filled with fluids: no swellings, just red- almost looks like a bleed.

Is it possible to load a pic up of the sick fish.
The photos are really bad, but all i could get! You can sort of see the redness that has appeared overnight- one photo was today one yesterday eve.

Thanks.
