Hey, ive had my blue cray for about a month now and there are 2 things i want to address.

#1 on his bottom side, where its usually white he is all red. Any ideas why this is so?

#2 there seems to be brown algea growing on him. I know its brown algea cause i have a bloom of it in my tank and i can see it hanging off him. So i know its not him just losing his color due to stress.....

Any help on these??

I guess this place is just like every other forum.......No-one pays attention to the inverts section.........

:/ HMMMMMM..........I payed attention, but just have no idea! Here's a bump for you! Someone I am sure will chime in with help!

I'm paying attention too, but I've never heard of this problem, first it might be helpful if we know what sort of blue cray he is (the latin name), also can you take a photo of the "algae" and the bottom of the cray (can you tell me where abouts on the cray it is), and maybe we can help a bit more.

Thanks Luc.

He is a Procambarus sp., i guess i was wrong about noone paying attention :), but the redness on the bottom went away snce he molted so i guess it was probably from that (although ive never seen redness before molting before..) and when i cleaned out the algae bloom in my tank he was clear of it so its all good now. Thanx for listening :)
