When I was doing a water change yesterday I was looking at my tank from the top and I noticed that one of my two corys was missing most of his right fin... the ones near the gills... sorry, I don't remember what they are called... Will it grow back? he doesn't seem like he's having any trouble swimming.

No it's not Alien Anna. The Question should be What other fish do you keep with them and is it in gravel substrated tank?

Surely that's a more sophisticated version of the same question? The point is, we need to figure out how it happened so we can prevent it happening again.

There both the same questions LOL... ;)

Yes we do need to know what other fish you have in the tank. To answer your question it will grow back maybe a bit of melafix will speed the process up (NO SALT to corys) ;)

Hrrmmm well I've mainly got tetras of various kinds but I also have a couple of Zebra Danios and a suckermouth cat. None of them are really prone to fin-nipping. I have gravel for a substrate.
