My best friend and companion for 12 years left me yesterday. My beautiful germain shepherd dog had to be put down because of a bladder problem that was inoperatable. I will sorely miss her more than anything in the world for she was the most intelligent caring dog I have ever known. Everday I came home from work she would wail at me untill I went and played ball with her, very annoying at the time but something I will really miss now. I will miss how she use to talk to me with a wookie type growl. I will miss how she use to know when I was sad and I will miss her for her protection. RIP KALOWIE, I miss you. :-(

My heart goes out to you at this time Aquamanis, I don't know what to say to make you feel any better ... I find it easier to give hugs than find words at times like this. It's a year since I lost my cat and it affected me quite badly at the time. Amazing how close we become to our ... I was going to say pets ... but really they are our family. I have a husky and a sheltie. Tess, my sheltie had cancer a few years ago. Luckily she pulled through, but every day with both of them is special. I have been guilty of taking them for granted, that doesn't happen anymore. I savour every moment. Take special care of yourself over the next few weeks.

-hugs for Aqua-

she's up there with the best now, and she's waiting for you. you know, she's probably met up with all your other pets ever and has told them how much you missed them and cared about them. RIP Kalowie, tell Pepper i miss her :-(

Awww. Aquamanis, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I have no doubt, after reading your post, that your dog had a truly wonderful life in your care.

oh, I'm sorry. it's hard to lose a pet. i lost a rabbit this summer. he was my best friend for 7 years (i got him in kindergarten)

I'm sooooooooo sorry I have many best friends, one being my dog, Scooby, who i've had for only 2 years, I know he's young and healthy, but when he had to get surgery this spring, I thought of all the things that could go wrong and how short life really is, hope you feel better!! HUGS N KISSES

man aquamanis I really feel sorry for you I haven't lost any of my dogs or cats but I have lost fish and even that is hard I'm really sorry :-( :-( :-( :-(

we are so blessed to have these wonderful 4 footed friends in our lives - they ask so little and give so much......they enrich our souls and make us better people. Even though Kalowie has physically gone, her spirit will be with you forever. My thoughts are with you - Sue

oh, i'm sorry aquamanis. my cat, cadmus, left us almost 2 months ago. he was 18!! i'd known him all my life (i'm only 13). i miss him lots too :byebye: :rip:

Awwwww, I feel so sorry for you Aquamanis and rsz. :-(

Our pets have such a special place in our hearts that when they are gone nothing else can fill it. Even another pet, though special in their own way, cannot replace them. :rip:

Here is a link that helped console me when my cat Jezebel died last year. I hope it does the same for you.

im so sorry about your loss - i still think about & miss all the animal companions ive had over my lifetime. but take comfort ( as i always have)from the fact that at least you know that you gave her love, friendship & a really good home throughout her life, and you did the right thing by her when it was time for her to go.
