My Co2 Super Atomizer Exploded!

OMG

I came home for lunch today and whilst making a sandwich I heard a loud bang/pop sound!! The missus shouted "something has happened to your tank" my heart sank and I ran into the front room expecting to find the tank cracked and gushing out water.

Straight away I noticed that the C02 pipe was blowing out big bubbles and upon closer inspection the Atomizer had split in 2 pieces! I checked to make sure the tank glass was not damaged and thank god all looks ok. It must have shot off like a rocket but was only led about 3 inches away from the other half, lucky escape I think.

Good news is I have contcacted the person I bought it from and they are going to send me out a rerplacement tomorrow, so the tank is going to have to be without CO2 for a day or two

Was it a cheapo ? Not recriminating, but sometimes you get what you pay for. At least the seller is coming to the party and no major damage was done. I bet you nearly changed the colour of your trousers !

can you use an air stone temporarily?

It was £12, hopefully the replacement wont do the same!

Not sure about the airstone ideal but should all be sorted shortly.

Always have a back up, even if it's just a cheap one.
