So i'm always eager to learn new ways of making a fish tank look as beautiful as possible but at the same time as cheap as possible..
So this was my first tank that i did about almost a year ago, substrate was leftover aquasoil of only a few kilos. So i had to use pumice stones which equaled 90%-ish of my substrate. Knowing i had to dose ferts regularly and consistently, it soon failed due to my laziness. lol
Everything in the tank cost about $20-30
So after experimenting with pumice i wanted to do a different method, the Walstad method, which basically uses garden dirt instead. I also wanted a totally different style to the tank, and this is what i came up with. Everything inside this tank cost about $25 (Would've been more if i bought new plants, which i will later on) BTW, If you're wondering about the cloudiness, its natural for the first day or two, its from the dirt not an algae bloom
But does add to the feel of it tho. lol
