My Catfish Is Always Hiding

my fish is always hiding away even when the lights are off he's only been in my tank for about 1 week but this is not normal behaviour as all the other fish move around etc but he just sits there all day

Calm down. From what I understnad this is quite normal. It's like the catfish's first week at school. quite shy, and working out who his/her firneds are and finding its feet. If you just give it some time, I am sure it will be fine.

I am sure other, more experienced people will be able to give you more detailed advice/suggestions.

Maybe your catfish is feeling insecure and might light some catfish friends.

my pleco took about 3 days to get accustomed to the tank. now he swims upside down on the surface during feeding time.
